I have many of Skousen's books. Always an excellent Author who knows his material. This book is a must read and an excellent addition to any library.
Loved this book so much I bought copies for my co workers and my siblings. Its fascinating and thought provoking, just a really good read. I have highlighted and book marked pages in this book, which is something I rarely do, I was always taught not to write in books or mark on them, but this book truly impressed me. I usually donate or give most of my books to others, but this is one of those books I like to reference to and so enjoy re reading. It explains so much about our country.
One of the rare 5 stars I ever give. This is a must read for everyone that is interested in the history of how this country led and should continue to lead the way to innovation. Also, this should be a requirement for everyone in politics to read! I also rarely highlight parts of a book while i read it. This one has my markings all over it. This is an easy and amazing book to read. I can't say enough good things about it.
This book is outstanding. This absolutely should be a required read for every elected official at the state and federal level. This book conjures feelings of fear that our country is slipping yet at the same time builds confidence that it can correct itself if we subscribe to the principles developed by the founding fathers (and plainly described in this book). Despite our many problems , We live in such a great country and this book helps outline why this is so. Happy Independance Day
I bought this book several years ago and have read it several times since as my reference to the Founders' reasoning and intent. In addition, it explains that America was established as "One nation under God" not based on religious quackery, but rather Divine and Universal Law. The Founders understood human nature (the root of corruption, dishonesty, and division) and as a result they sought to design a system where one powerful human's nature could not suppress the rights of the average individual. This book dives into each aspect, leaving the reader with profound understanding of America's founding principals, and appreciation of her presence. America is not a perfect country... but she is a country which holds the value of individual freedom for all, and that is what makes her a miracle. I definitely recommend this book to any high school or college student.

A must read for everyone and anyone interested in discovering the 28 Principals of Freedom the Founding Fathers of our Republic said must be understood and perpetuated by every people who desire peace, prosperity, and freedom; and how adherence to these beliefs over the past 240+ years has brought about more progress than was made in the previous 5,000 years
Every America needs to read this book. Few understand the thinking that founded this nation and the Constitution. The Founding Fathers were amazing men!
Really enjoyed this book. A local talk show radio host mentioned it on the radio so I hunted it down and got it. It gives insight into the behind the scenes activities surrounding the american revolution. I do recommend it to anyone who likes history.
GREAT BOOK (S) I have read this book and parts of it more than a few time. It is a great source of study. It should be MANDATORY READING, and study before any student is allowed to graduate High School. - SERIOUSLY. It includeds the Bill of Rights, the Constitution of the United States, and the Federalist. It is on my iphone/pad for continuous study and referrence. Although it was written well over 30 years ago. It has been updated and I think it is even more relavent today. Buy it only if you are a Freedom Loving American.
