I ordered this for my brother. After receiving it, he said, "It's packed with information. There are a lot of medical terms, but I can handle those. In addition to the half dozen chapters on actual therapy, there are a good number of chapters at the beginning giving fundamental ideas and definitions, and it's very organized and useful. This is a great book. Along with the therapeutic exercises, the author explains, in detail, *what* an exercise accomplishes, and that's a big help, as the information I got off YouTube (and Google) was a bunch of how-to, without much *why*. And the book is much more complete than anything I've seen before."
I do not recommend this seller. Again, I do not recommend this seller! I bought a brand new and original book, so I hope the book has the code inside (Plus code) for additional information on the Davis website, but doesn’t have it. 2. The quality of the pages is compatible with a copy, does not have enough space in the margins and the resolution of the images is poor. 3. The book is much smaller than the previous edition. 4. There is a law that states that no book can be photocopied without the consent or authorization of the author or publisher. It's a crime!!!!!!!
This is the "bible" of vestibular dysfunction and treatment. As a PT who works with patients with vestibular dysfunction I have found this book invaluable. A must have for any PT working with patients with vestibular disorders.
Liked it as much as a non professional can like a text book. I was able to learn how my brain was injured.
Great reference text. Plenty of pictures/photos/diagrams to help visualize concepts.
The book we received not only seemed used, as the corners were bent and the edges worn out, but it also seemed either fake or a very low quality production. The pages have no margins and the text is not properly aligned within the page. The pictures are distorted and the paper quality of the pages is also very low, thinner than the usual textbook.
Very detailed and easy to read. Just a couple chapters into it, but so far, I can tell I'll be a BPPV expert in no time!!
Outstandingly thorough. My therapist studied under Dr. Herdman and implements Dr. Herdman's prescriptions.
