We were doing a unit on the 5 senses. This book helped the children to understand what it must be like to be blind and deaf. The children enjoyed it and wanted us to read it over and over again.
It was great for the 6-9 age range which is what I was looking for.
Bought this for my grandson.
Love Adler's books. Better for older children.
A favorite book of my little 5 year old granddaughter. I gave her a copy to take home with her and also bought a copy for my sister to share with her kids!! I would love to buy more of his books on famous people!

I have read a story to my granddaughter about Helen Keller. She has been wanting to learn more about Helen and this book has language that a six year old understands. The pictures also helped her learn about the time Helen was a child.
