Bad credit is U-G-L-Y. I know, I know, I know...â€Debt is dumb, cash is king and the paid off home mortgage has taken the place of the BMW as the status symbol of choiceâ€.I used to be a Dave Ramsay fanatic following everything he said, enrolled and finish the classes, read the books and my children took the classes. But, something happened once I started my business and started playing the credit game...I suggest that you read “Your Score†and share a few tactics from the book:- Freeze your credit- Change your passwords and create a separate email for your bank account and credit card statements- Order a copy of your credit reports every four months- Handwrite your dispute letter on paper that is some other color than white. This will get your dispute kicked out of the automated characterreading machine and processed by a real person- Prepare an action plan to increase your scoreEven if you have $1 million in the bank, you’re still going to need a credit score at some point in your life. I definitely learned a few new tips from this book and will be giving it away to my staff, family and friends!
Should be required reading for anyone - but in particular a young person starting out in life. I learned many of the lessons the HARD way. Wish I had this book 40 years ago.We all know that paying bills on time is a good thing. But do you know that this is not all it takes to build a strong credit score? And are you aware of the profound impact credit stores have on your life?
Good book. I have a Business Management degree and my wife has an Accounting degree and we both picked up great tips in this book. I'm going to have me children read this so they have the knowledge I wish I had at their age.

Excellent. I bought this hardbound print edition and the Kindle edition. Davenport reviews many "tips" that are common sense, but includes a few that I did not consider or had forgotten, and organizes them to facilitate a practical plan of action. One of those items that should easily pay for itself and then some.
An amazing book that takes you past the basics and into the professional ways of maintaining a high credit score. This book has helped me tremendously so I ordered a copy for my daughter who is buying a house soon.
Anthony has written a very clear and easy to understand book on credit. It's a topic many do not fully understand, in which case I'd highly recommend reading this book. It's an easy, quick read, and it will make you an expert instantly. Between the examples given, and Anthony sharing his personal story I was hooked. Enjoy!!
