The quite is a great tool for putting a value on railroad items. I only wish there was more information on the railroad flatware: all of the various pieces and patterns. This s a wonderful reference for lanterns, passes, china, locks and other pieces of railroadiana and I highly recommend this book.

Best book I have purchased for railroad items. Very detailed descriptions on lanterns, locks, keys, china and other items. Great.
Book arrived with damaged binding, however, product was easily returned and replaced with no difficulty.
I've done some business with Railroad Memories, the company that put out this amazing book, but I gotta tell you that I wasn't sure when they were gonna finish it. I've been waiting since 2008 for this thing to hit the market, and finally it here. Thank the Lord! As a 36 veteran of the UP, I have spent most of my life around the Trains and in the Yard. As a collector, I have spent my entire life collecting Union Pacific memorabilia and am quite proud of what I've amassed. However I have never had an idea what other roads antiques were really worth, and I have paid for it, trust me!. Now, this book has given me an equal footing with the veteran collectors. I have Baker's book, and I have the Knouses first book, but there is nothing like this that I've ever seen. I don't write reviews really, but this book sure has been great for me and my collection. Thanks a million!

Look no further.Personally, as a collector focused on dining memorabilia from the Milwaukee Road (pre-1889), I'll tell you that I've seen nothing better, eggs cups, saucers, bread plates, creamers, demitasse sets....you name it, and everything listed has a picture with corresponding prices. I know "how much" before I leave for the roadshow. If collecting is a business then this is the business plan.Railroadiana II came highly recommended. I've always used Stanley Baker's guide, but, needless to say, there's no looking back: easily the most comprehensive railroad antique listing ever. If you collect, you need this as much as your next piece.

It serves not only as a practical price guide for the collectibles, but as a true keepsake for any antique aficionado. Each item is meticulously catalogued, with a corresponding price estimation and picture. For me, being able to actually see every single one of the items in this book is a huge asset, and truly sets it apart from other antique catalogues that I have seen. I also appreciate the many chapters that categorize the various styles and manufacturers of items, such as the keys and lanterns chapters. Sue Knous is to be commended for this treasure of a book!
